DMAC-EDTC Refresher & Top-up Course |
A conversion course for experienced
recreational diving doctors aiming towards Diving Medical
Examiners (DMAC-EDTC Level I) and Diving Medicine Physicians
(Level IIa). This was also a revision course for those
already recognized at that level.
This ‘Top-Up' course is an interim measure primarily to fill
operational needs in the Asia-Pacific region and aimed to
provide experienced medical examiners and diving physicians
serving the recreational sector with the crucial extra
know-how needed for the support of working divers,
particularly in offshore deep diving. The course was
designed primarily to comply with DMAC-EDTC standards in
order to equip doctors working with or for IMCA member.
Speakers include David Elliott, past Chairman of EDTC and
DMAC, Juerg Wendling, Chairman of EDTC-Medical
Level I consolidates the European Diving Technology
Committee (EDTC) recommended standards for working divers
and will be a revision course for all examiners of working
divers.
Level IIa provides an extension of earlier training for
those who are now experienced in recreational or military
diving medicine.

This year’s meeting will be held in Goa,
India. The one-time Portugese colony city on the east coast
of exotic India, Goa is well-known as a tourist resort town
with an interesting eastern-western blend.
Guest Speaker for this year’s conference will be Dr Simon
Mitchell, who needs no introduction.
